| They Meet: Kristina and Eco meet through their daughters who are very good friends and share the same birth date. Eco calls Kristina to discuss a combined classroom birthday party and they talk on the phone for three hours. They discover that they have similar career backgrounds in design and manufacturing. They also have similar interests including the love of creating just about anything made with fabric, objects and old vintage finds.
They Start Making Projects: The girls spend many days making interesting things. They make slipcovers, headboards, and clothing for the children and much, much more. For holiday gifts, Kristina and Eco agree to make some handbags out of vintage fabric for their friends and the women in their family.
They Start Selling Handbags: Kristina takes some handbags out to test their strength and durability, only to find that she sells them right off of her arm! Hence a business is started and “MidiQueen Handbags” is born.
Conclusion: The girls are happy because they get to make and sell fun things. Husbands are happy because girls stay out of the mall and children are happy because they get to play together more often.
